[IMG]Thanks Backyard Chickens for all of your help! We were gifted with 10 chickens in May, you helped us identify the roosters - 5 went to the butcher. One - whom we named Jerk - remains our pride and joy. This week the girls (all named Camilla - after Gonzo's girl friend on the Muppets) started laying. They have free-ranged all over the property -
And chose the small bed of mint covered by Moonflower vine as their first spot to lay. They have now successfully switched to the nest boxes. We are delighted. The birds are friendly, entertaining, and delightful companions for morning coffee on the deck. We are in love with our chickens. Thanks again for all of your help!
