Quail hatch-along seems to have gone away?

I am trying DESPERATELY to get out of king quail, but the hatchlings are so darned stinking cute. So here I am back again.

I also have gotten in the quail that are large enough for both meat and eggs. I've cobbled together a nice jumbo brown quintet with the male unrelated to two different sets of females, and am also working to set up two (fingers crossed) quintets of fancy colored standard Coturnix.

But you're here for pics. ;) Here we go!

Christmas Quail! Kwanzaa Quail! Haunnukah Quail! Festivus! Saturnalia! Yule! All of the above, there's like 14 winter holidays, nothing like a month long party.

Some very, very good little friends to a chicken (ie, GIANT INFANT) that got rejected by her broody mom. They were already 3 days old at the time and were not getting stumbled on. They taught her to eat the first day I had her in with them. Quail chicks are VERY precocious, and I am sure they are teaching her how to commit tax fraud even as I post.

More of the 'buttons' Thanks to 007Sean for giving me a clue by four about why that name is a misnomer. Painted quail or king quail are better common names for them.
