Four day old chicks and one had super watery eyes, no sign of scratches and I rinsed with sterile eye rinse. Then I saw it....I have a little one that I have named kung Pao chicken. All my chicks are named after chicken dishes. She was pecking at the other chicks eyes and wouldn't stop. Most just move but, I think my other little chick got the brunt. He eyes seem bruised.
Should I send kung Pao to baby jail in the brooder (seperated) for a little bit? There is enough space and heat to be provided. To allow the others eyes a chance to get better. I am worried that the one with the eyes is on the bottom of the food chain on the pecking order. She doesn't come out as often when the others are out. I am assuming bullying is going on.
Or maybe I should seperate the one that is getting bothered?
TIA
