With my first ever incubation in the final week, I'm beginning to think about taking photos of the babies that hatch. I'm a hobbyist photographer so I have a "big girl" camera with a speedlight and basic flash modifiers. Im totally stoked about taking pics of the chicks, but my creativity is blocked!

What are some ideas or things you all have done in your chick shoots? Anyone else a hobbiyist or pro who has input on little things to be aware of or try?

    Thanks!

The chicks may fall asleep which I've had happen before. Make sure that don't become to stressed. Otherwise they will try flying and they may injure themselves.

I am no pro or hoobyist but here's my best ones. They are really bad but my instagram followers don't seem to care[IMG]

I like to do ones with them by flowers, or in a leaf pile.

I've considered that, I just don't have anything growing that's "pretty" right now [IMG] I'm also not prepared to go buy any fakes, though I've considered it. Spring will certainly be better for adding color pops :)

Agree with the flowers idea. Even fake ones make a huge difference. I can fish out some example pics if you want them...
