    My silkie suddenly abandoned this egg the day before it hatched, I carried it around in my bra for a few hours until I could find our heater lamp. My kids got to see this whole hatch from start to finish which was just wonderful, my husband was at work so he watched by skype [​IMG]

    How long will the chick need the heater lamp? It's around 75F here. TIA.

    P.S Any idea as to the breed? We got fertile eggs from a farm with very mixed stock, so no idea. She did have some RIRs.
