We have a flock for 4 chickens and the other day 1 got injured so we took her away from the others to recover and it has turned out to be the worst thing as now trying to put her back in they all gang up on her and hurt her, does anyone have any advice as to how we can introduce her back into the flock with out getting hurt?

really appreciate any advice as we are starting to run out of ideas

The best way I know is to put her in a pen next to the others so they can get used to each other again before they can physically interact, for about a week. When you put them back together try to give her room to get away. Like while they free range.

they are really nasty to her once 1 starts picking on her they all join in and through the fence they act like they are cock fighting

If there is one chicken in paticular being a bully, you might want to consider getting pinless peepers--chicken glasses that prevent them from seeing enough to peck, but can still see to get food.

Separating the lead bully(ies) while the new chicken is added sometimes works. Since they are all doing it through the fence it may be that they will never accept her now.
