This is the first hen I've had go broody. She has picked a corner of the coop to sit rather than the nesting box. One of the other chickens must be picking on her. She has a few sore spots on her comb like they are picking at it. Sicne she doesn't want to get off her egg she is relatively defenseless. What do I do to keep her safe and happy till she either does or doesn't hatch her egg.

    Thanks

    Beth

Move her out of the coop, or add a third wall to her corner nest. If you add the wall make it long enough that it shields her from easy sight.

set a box over her, leave an opening that she can get out, but she will like it dark in there, and that should keep her out of sight of the others.
