Pics added! What kind of chicken

I got a free chicken when I placed an order said it was their choice. So it was a yellow chick with feathered feet and 5 toes...now it is turning dark brown and black. Taking much longer to feather out then the rest like he/she is half feather and the rest have been fully feathered for a couple weeks. I looked a favorelles and they are cream and he is not. I have never had these kind of chickens before so need some help of what it could be?

It is a Faverolles cockerel - they are dark colored unlike the pullets.

I think it's a pullet. Too evenly colored to be a cockerel, and lacks the silvery hackle feathers. Which hatchery?

Hatchery Faverolles pullets are often off-colored. The black ticking in the beards is common, and some even have black chests. I'm sticking with pullet on yours.

Faverolles often end up getting bullied- they have great temperaments and make great backyard pets. Maybe ensure that she's getting her/his fair share of nutrition? Or, is she/he a few weeks younger than the other youngsters in the photo?!

Same as all the others it eats they are free range and I kept a really close eye on that one but it still has not gotten its feathers is getting them but slow.
