I see you use towels in your brooders like I do. Freaks me out thinking they might get an impaction eating shaving, though I guess many people use shavings and never have problems.

Oh, mine DID try eating shavings when I first tried the shavings. That lasted all of ten minutes!

Talk about freaking out . . . I spent months on high alert, based on what I had read of hazards to ducklings. I trimmed every loose thread, used towels, was on hands and knees in the yard with an ultra-strong magnet day after day . . . .yup.

Nice side effect of towels - nice plant fertilizer, the rinse water.

did you hatch them yourself of buy them? its interest to see such light chocolates....i see there are the regular shad but its interesting to see the light ones




i have one each fawn&white, bue, black, and chocolate runner ducklings that turned 2 weeks today....and its nice having runners is other colors other then fawn and white though i still like fawn and white
