    I've been told that the lighter color ones in my 2nd pic are blues. The breeder I bought the eggs from said she had blues and blacks so it's possible I suppose. Doesnt matter to me either way. I'm just happy to have them! [​IMG]

    Yeah i've been wanting some Marans for a while now. I bought some eggs from a breeder in Ohio had them shipped over 1000 miles to me. Ended up with 10 chicks out of 15 eggs. I bought some from another breeder here in arkansas but I didnt have any luck with those so I was very happy with this hatch. I also have 6 week old Welsummer chicks. They should lay some nice dark eggs too.
