These six little Brabanters hatched over the weekend! So did one little Blue Laced Red Wyandotte (guess which one she is)! She has a slipped tendon, but she seems to be holding her own and getting around on the one good leg. Her name is Eileen. [IMG] The Brabanters are named Elsie, Fluffy, Jane, Sasha, Kiwi, and Cracker (she came out of a cracked egg that I sealed with wax). [IMG]

I got the Brabanter eggs from H and H Poultry (http://www.handhpoultry.com/). I was so pleased with them. The eggs were nice and clean and very carefully packed. Out of 13 eggs, 10 made it to day 18. I think I had a humidity issue or something, since 4 of the 10 did not hatch after making it that far.

They're adorable. The blue looks like she's hamming it for the camera!

I'll have to try H and H on your suggestion. But if I buy more eggs my husband will have me committed.

Brabanters are some seriously cool birds! [IMG] I have a flock of Golden Brabanters that I purchased as adult birds - they are quiet & peaceful birds. They are good layers for me as well. Unfortunately my girls do not have a roo - so I ordered some eggs for G.B. and they are in the incubator now. Hopefully in a week or so - I will have a little roo hatching out of one of the eggs. Good luck with your little ones. Cute photo,
