Wow!! Thet weren't kidding, you really are chicken obsessed!!! Great incubator, how many eggs does it hold? What kind of duckling is that? And last but not least, how does DW feel about them all being on the couch!!! LOL

Love the flock! I have to admit I had the same thought about the couch [IMG]
so they sent cochin chicks as packing peanuts? I have a small order of silkies coming in thursday from ideal, I'm anxious to see what if anything they use as packing peanuts. Did they tell you what they were on the invoice?
    Enjoy the babies

    Thanks for the comments!

Actually, it was dw's idea to put them in the armchair! (on the towel of course) so that we could corral them. These new chicks have changed her from a passive observer of my chicken hobby to an active participant! [IMG]

The incubator can hold 240 eggs. I will be setting a test hatch of 9 ss eggs and some mutts tonight.

The duckling is a cayuga/magpie cross.

They did not tell me what the packing peanuts were on the invoice, so the color is still in debate, but they have feathered feet, and based on what Ideal has available, they are probably cochins. We aren't sure what color they will be yet.

Thanks again everyone! I will be posting those orp chick pics later today.

Here are pics of my white orp pullets and the black/blue/splash chicks. I can't figure out if the two chicks are splash or blue yet but they will be pretty!

You have a boatload of chicks now, Jared! Those Orps look splash to me rather than blue, at least in the pics.

That would be great news! They would go great with my black orp roo then.

Post updated pics of them in a couple of weeks, J. Splashes change alot as they grow! No two are ever alike.
