PICS OF ROOSTER GOING BALD! WHITE CRESTED POLISH. HELP!!

Help! My rooster is losing his headdress! His feathers are coming out and leaving a barren head. This can't be molting and I can't imagine that the hens are pecking him. Please let me know any ideas as to what it is and what to do about it. I enclosing one picture of him in good health, and two pictures of his terrible looking head. Help!

Interesting - are his feather shafts NORMALLY yellow?

He is the only rooster I have. The yellow color is more pronounced than usual, I don't know why. Do mites look like this?

I had a WC Black Polish roo who looked just like that, one of your other chickens is pecking them out. I had to get rid of mine because I could not get the girls to stop. Separate him and get them grown back in they might not bother it once it is re-grown.

It has to be a hen doing this damage. I'll separate him and let the feathers grow back in. Thanks for the advice!!
