    These were hatched by my white broody silkie hen - we actually have three white hens - who have taken up sharing the care for the chicks. And they don't fight over them. It's so cute seeing all three clucking to them showing them goodies and such.

    They hatched out about a month ago - I finally got some pics posted. I got the eggs from a BYC member - had them shipped - 4 out of the 7 hatched so I was happy. If I end up with roosters, you'll see them posted here .... I'll get more pics of them soon - they are in that funny looking stage right now with half their feathers coming in and half still chick fuzz. They look like they have a "poodle" cut [​IMG]

    I just got my first sillky yeasterday she is black and oh so tiny that makes noe 25 chicks!

    11 ~6 weeks

    2 ~ 2 weeks

    2~ 1 week

    and 8 just born Wed. am in chick heaven!!! Now where are those eggs!

    My favorite are the buff orppitons they are sooooo sweet & like little puppies they love to cuddle and we just sit out side for hours watching them run and play am so glad we got chickens ,but don't tell my neighbors! LOL
