pics of wyandotte around 4 weeks old?....

    i have a SLW and GLW and i got them from mypetchicken but it doesn't seem like their lacing is very good quality i just wanted to see what others looked like around their age.

    My SLW are the same way. Of course hatchery chicks wont be as pretty as breeder's but they are still nice. Some of my older birds are still changing and getting different colored feathers and they are 3 months old! Just give it time. I have two almost 2wk old SLW, and mine are still pretty bland looking. But I know they will change. It took my Barred Plymouth Rocks forever to get their pattern and colors.

    The lacing on mine did not really look right until weeks 4-5. [​IMG]

    Mine are also from a hatchery and I was starting to think they were just going to be ugly. They are almost 8 weeks and are still getting in the silver coloring. There may be hope!

    My GLW came from MPC last summer. This is what she looked like at 4-5 weeks:

    much better. Not breeder quality, but she is a lovely bird.

    oh good that is exactly what mine looks like now, i just wanted to make sure she would still turn out beautiful. What a wonderful hen you have there!

    I have hatchery SLW, My first Wyandottes. Looking forward now to seeing what they turn out to be after seeing this post, was starting to wonder there for a while. Thanks!!!!
