These girls are the only chicks by my Champion Welsummer Rooster, Wellington. (RIP) I love them, but wish at least one would have been a boy. [IMG] Ho well. They were hatched in January 09. They are going to make great show girls and follow in the claw steps of their mothers. Champion Continental and Champion Large Fowl December 08. [IMG]

And my Marans, also hatched in January. I have already culled 5 cockerels and will be selling 1 BC cockerel. He is turning out to be breed worthy. The other one has bad feet. I culled the others with bad feet, but didn't get to the last one yet. That will leave me with 4 pullets and 2 cockerels. I can't believe how many boys I had in my hatch. Complete opposite of the Welsummers. [IMG]
(This is the good one that I am thinking about selling)

The 2 I am keeping (White and a Blue Black Copper)

And the entire (very small) flock. I have one blue pullet, one wheaton pullet, and 2 BC pullets.

And Miss Kentucky (my oldest Kentucky Speck pullet)

I can't wait for the rest of them to grow up!

What a very nice group of birds. I like how they are sitting all together. Great shot!

[IMG] Very nice birds. But I must say I have never seen a Kentucky Speck. They are gorgeous. And I love my Wellies.
