Good friends and neighbors helped with the construction of this coop. It was a true communal effort. I'm posting the pictures we have of the whole process.

My husband clearing out the site for the coop.

My friend, Matt, beginning work on the coop.

Matt and his son, Jamie, working on coop.

More work on coop.

And more work.

Getting close.

The final version.

It's all done now. It took way to long, but I'm glad we did it. They seem very happy with lots more room.

Let me know what you think.

It took about 6 weeks because most folks could only work on weekends and such. It seemed like the last details were what took the most time. Painting and where to hang the feeders.

I bought the window years ago to make a focal point in my herb garden and never got around to using it or figuring out exactly what I wanted to do. It was perfect for this, so we built the coop around it.

Thanks.

I need to change my profile. We just got two buff orpington pullets to add to our flock. I think that will be enough for our pen and coop.
