Any idea what's wrong with his feet? I have been washing them, then covering with Vaseline.
Definitely Scaly Leg mites. And a pretty severe case of them. In addition to the washing and Vasoline, you may want to try a broad spectrum dewormer.
x2 on the scaly leg mites!!
Edit to add: In the article, if I had SLM in my flock, I would opt to use Option 4.
Thank you so much!!! Can I do treatments 3 and 4?
You can do any you like.
I just know nothing can survive a gasoline/A+D treatment!!!
Let us know what you do and how it works!
I off to the pharmacy and gas station! Lol.
I certainly will let you know how it goes. Thanks, again!!
VASOLINE!! VASOLINE!!! aka PERROLUM JELLEY!!! NOT GASOLINE!!!!!
@chickengeorgeto , did you read the article?
Yea, I read it all 4 or 5 times and while bigbird may be pulling our leg, I still would hate to see someone get confused and burn down their coop, or worst..
chickengeorgeto, I'm not quite sure what to make of your reply. Why would you think I was pulling anyone's leg? I have a problem, and I asked for advice. Was the question I asked not answered correctly? If I knew what was wrong with my chicken, I would have never asked for help in the first place.
