Here they are! The post office called me at 6am, they were home by 6:30am. We have 1 Rhode Island Red, 1 Delaware, 1 Speckled Sussex, and 1 Americana.

Quote:I love to watch baby chicks sleep. They sleep like they are baby penguins! Flat on their tummy with their neck stretched out and their wings to the side. When they are hatched with a hen one can't see them, but when they are hatched from the incubator its neat to actually watch their movements.

Love your birds. I just moved my lil ones out to a new brooder in the shop.. so that leaves me with 2 large empty cages, I guess i'll have to get more chicks!!! Also I haven't heard of that cob bedding. How's it workn for you?

Quote:It seems to be. Two of the employees at the Feed store recommended it, then i came on here and read mixed reviews. I called MPC and they said as long as it is medium course (not dusty, and not so large that it's sharp) it would be OK. So far so good, and i like that it is not dusty at all.
