Here are my chicks, yes I'm new here and these are the first batch I've had since I was about 8 or so. My mom told me that I would end up hate having them inside, but they've been such a delight. I don't ever want them to leave the chick stage and grow up. I think next year I'm going to have to get a larger coop or turn a shed into a coop so I can get lots more.

Laura78, I could never get tired of the chick stage either. I just love them.

Your's are adorable! Good for you.

I have had my full size chickens for almost 3 years now and I have not got bored yet.

We've been holding them each day and also feeding them out of our hands. Hopefully, they'll all turn into some sweet hens. I know that RIRs are a bit more aggressive, but I've only got one of them so hopefully, she'll be a good girl.

The chicks are really cute. I really love the dog in the background watching very closely.

Quote:Thank you. That's my pit, Eddie. He thinks he the protector of all things small. My boxer, Maiden, wants to bite their little heads off, bad doggy.
