We got our first egg last Sunday and have got one every day since - 7 days in a row from the same chicken! I was surprised at how perfect they were and how hard the shells are compared to store-bought.

Here's my first yummy breakfast thanks to my black australorp (I think!).

[IMG] Very nice!! Yeah, the difference in shell thickness really caught my attention when I first started getting eggs too - still does really.

I did the same thing -- took photos of my first breakfast courtesy of the girls. Yours looks delicious! Isn't it great to know you'll have this perfect and amazing food for years to come?! I love it. [IMG]

My Barred Rock pullet started laying Tuesday. YUM! YUM!
Maybe she will get the 2 Black Cochin girls inspired too.

Looks yummy!! My Hubby and I were just talking about this yesterday. We can go into our yard and get breakfast, later on in the day we go and get Lunch (salad, cucumers and tomatoes)
now the only problem is dinner. Maybe we should start looking into getting a cow or two [IMG]
