Im building my chicken run right now and i need ideas of roosts to put up and how to put them up, should i do branches or 2 x 4s... the roost in the coop is a 2 x 4. Also how tall should they be off the ground, the run is 5 ft tall, I'm thinking one lower roost and one higher one. Thanks

We did 1x3 in a half octagon shape. But for some reason they all like to sit on the right side, the shortest bar together. [IMG] They squeeze in a 18 inch space, and leave the other 6 feet just sitting there. Silly chickens.
