These hens came out of eggs from justhatchin, siz8003, and sweetshoplady on a designer egg chain this past Spring. I handed them off to my mother in April or May, and I hadn't seen them again until this past week. I feel awful admitting this, but when I saw the chickens while driving up, I hopped out of the car and ran to hug one of them before I even thought of hugging my mother. [IMG] It's a sickness . . . I can't resist a large, fluffy butt. Thank goodness my mother understands.

Beautiful birds! I'm glad your mom understands. I am not sure mine ever will. She just puts up with me. [IMG]

Ember is always everybody's favorite. She's going to get a swelled head. [IMG] I don't know what she's mixed with, but I know she's half blue cochin. I'll have to let Mom know about all the compliments her chickens are getting on here. Thanks! [IMG]

A parting shot of Ember, looking about as noble as possible for a chicken.
