Pigeon taken by owl returns

I had a pigeon taken from atop my pen where it spent the night with another that would not come back in the pen. This was 7 days agao. I just figured it was gone forever.
It came back home today and my son just picked it up and brought it to me. It was wounded pretty good and in rehab now.
I just can't believe a week later after several severe storms rolled through it was still alive.

Thank you and its actually doing great. Hope its back up flying with its buddies soon. I would bet it doesnt argue about coming in again though.
