I have two pigeons in with my chickens right now. I noticed one of the chickens acting lethargic, so I examined her and she appears to have poultry lice. I can't catch the pigeons with the way the coop is set up (and one is new and unfamiliar to me, so he is very skittish), but they do seem to be itching themselves quite a lot. Can pigeons get poultry lice? I dusted all the girls and the floor with 7-dust - should I get a net to catch the piegons and dust them, too?

I use dairy dip. I put a bit under the wings and on the vent. Works great. As for the pigeons.. have squirt gun will travel. Put some dairy dip in a squirt gun and problem solved. I have used a super soaker on my flock of chickens when they roost at night. Some are so flighty you can't even sneek up on them at night and they are in a huge yard, so.. yup.. super soaker.
