Pine wood chips?

Hello again

I was wondering if Pine wood chips are OK to use for bedding for chickens. I have a rabbit and pine chips are not to be used for rabbits because apparently they can cause respiratory problems. Are they OK for chickens?

I use pine shavings all the time. As long as they are really dry and don't smell heavily like pine disinfectant, they're fine. Just don't use cedar!

I have about 6 to 8 inches in my hen house. There is a feed store about 20 mi from here who sells them by the huge bag. I just dumped a load from the hen house thats full of poop on the garden for next year.

Chickens love em. No problems at all.

Ditto and I put it all in my veggie garden and my plants do great. Watch how much we had to much and I had alot of foliage and now flowers which means no fruit. That is true with any plant when it has a high amount of fertilizer it goes to green and not flowers.
