I don't know, but what I can say is WAIT. I just opened two up today on day 24 and they both died. I candled them and didn't see any movement and so I thought they were dead. I opened them up to see if I could find out how come they didn't hatch. To my surprise they were still alive on day 24. I am new to hatching and I am going to raise my temperature a little and wait until day 26 from now on. Seeing those two little chicks peep and then die was too sad for me. The advice I got was that I should have waited a couple more days and I agree. But I completely understand not wanting to throw them away if they are still alive.
