pipping before 21 days?

I've been reading all the pipping posts I can find. So is it normal, then, for chicks to pip before day 21 with a steady normal temp? Is early pipping considered an early hatch? I assumed they would pip and hatch on day 21 but from what I've been reading, they might pip early. Is that usual?

A pip is not a hatch. And yes, mostly for broody hens they pip on 19 0r 20

Mine always start pipping on Day 20 for the breeds I have, but my Blue Orps seem to wait till Day 21, lazy bums, LOL. Once I had one pip on Day 19, though.

My last hatch pipped and actually most hatched on day 20. Temps seemed fine. I did lose 2 of the last ones pipped but everyone else was healthy and doing fine.

I always get a pip on day 19. I wonder if my duck eggs will be the same way?
