My rescue hen, Jessamine, has always laid pretty big eggs for a 4 lb bird and my smallest standard sized hen. But today, she laid a whopper! Here is today's egg next to a previous one for comparison (apologies for the blurry, poorly lit pic):
Normal egg for her: 50 - 75g
Today: more like 90g!
I know plenty of hens lay much larger specimens, but this is a gallant achievement for my girl!
So... just for hahas....
Is today's egg a double yolker?
I'll crack I open on Sunday and post pics.
