Plain Brown Hen

    The girl Im in question of is a plain old brown hen. Are they a breed of orpingtons? I'll see if I can post a picture. Thanks for the help!

    Need to see a picture as "plain brown hen" covers a lot of territory.

    I did look through the breeds section and have almost positively identified her as a Star.

    Yes that should be a Red Star (white trim, lacing)...possibly Production Red if not much white at all or tail is black trimmed.

    Feet and legs should be yellow if that is the case (look dark in the photo but could be due to lighting).

    Further towards her tail she has much more white throughout her feathers. I'm not sure if by yellow legs you mean bright yellow as they are more of a pale/ white but not pure white.

    She is definitely one of those two breeds, however she does have quite a bit of white on her chest and her tail.
