Plastic okay.

Is plastic okay to hatch my eggs in. Im not cutting it lower because I dont want a chick to get hurt from it. Also is an inch okay to cut a paper carton down to for hatching??? Thanks, -Jay

I have no idea really Im pretty new but I would think plastic might not be breathble enough

I wouldnt use plastic. I use paper, but I have heard of somebody using plastic on here.

I cut a hole in the bottom of each egg spot so that if a chick pips low it can breathe.

You dont need to cut the carton any lower than it already is. Just cut the top off.

I cut out a good part of the bottom to where I can sit the carton flat but the egg can breathe. Thanks, -Jay
