Pleas tell me about chukars

I am searching for different birds to raise. I am considering coturnix quail, but I also have questions about chukars.

Anyone with info that could help me it's greatly appreciated. I have tried a search here and on google, but not finding the answers I am looking for.

from what I have read--chukar are mature at 16 weeks--what I can;t find out is how big they will be. Anyone?? Quail will be about 6 oz on your dinner plate after processing--how about chukar? would you compare chukar taste to ruffed grouse or spruce grouse--what would be the best comparison ( I like ruffed--spruce not so much)

any help is greatly appreciated.


eta I would assume raising chukar would be the same as quail--off ground?
