I have read in several places about feeding your baby chicks eggs. Some say boiled egg yokes, some say scrambled eggs. Why do we feed the baby chicks eggs? When do we start feeding eggs? How often & how much do we feed? Do we feed boiled or scrambled? Egg yokes or the whole egg? What are the benefits and risks? Do you have to feed grit if you feed eggs?

Sorry about all the questions, I am a new chick momma and so nervous and want the best for my new babies. Thank you for any help and guidance you can give.

Eggs are high in nutrition, if your babies (or adults) need a boost in vitamins, esp. proteins, feeding them cooked egg will help. It's nothing special pertaining to chickens and the fact that chickens make eggs. Just an all-around good food for a boost in nutrition.
My chickens always prefer a hard-boiled yolk, but that's just my experience. Some feed scrambled. Just make sure to cook it to avoid future egg-eating incidents.
