I went to check on the eggs ( that I thought were duds!) and one is starting to hatch! I don't know what to do! I leave him in the bator over night or what? What if he's the only one that hatches? I'm so excited! AAAAAAAH!

Don't open the bator. I know it's hard, but sit on those hands and leave him alone. He'll be fine for up to 48 hours after he hatches.

If he's the only one put a stuffed animal or feather duster in the brooder with him. It helps keep them from chirping all the time.

Crossing my fingers that more will pip soon.

How exciting for you! I keep playing with the idea of incubating/hatching chicks. Maybe that will be my new venture next year since I now have a couple (ummm...well, five) roosters. Keep us posted!

Congratulations!!

He could hatch out within 1-24 hours. If he doesn't make much progress soon(Within 2-3 hours) then most likely he'll be out on the later side of 24 hours.

Good luck
