Hi All,

I was wondering if you could offer me some advice; I have 3, 3day old chicks and this morning I noticed that at least 1 wing on all three, the feathers seems to be bare;theefore it looks asif you can see the bones in their wings!

Is this a common problem and if so is there anything I can do? all chicks seem happy and lively are eating/drinking as much as normal!

I would appreciate any help, thanks

How big is the area? What heat source are you using? What are you feeding them?

This doesn't sound like an emergency. Sounds like they *may* be pecking a bit at each other, or just growing in weird.

Its about an inch at the back of the wing, you can clearly see the bones within the wing tho which is starting to worry me!

We have just got a standard 60w light bulb in the brooder; the temperatures is around 85.

We are feeding them chick starter feed which we have purchased from a local animal store.
