I have a small silkie chick approx 10 days old. She has a bit of a gimpy right leg, but gets around, eats and drinks. (She had 2 drops of nutridrench a few days ago, approx 12 -14 hrs apart) I put her and a buddy in a separate brooder just in case it is due to getting jossled by the slightly bigger chicks.
Her leg sometimes sticks out to the right a little, but not totally straight. When she walks, she favors it, but does use it, and can get up under and out of their MHP just fine. She holds the leg/foot is up under pretty well most of the time, just kinda leans to the left when she favors the right leg.
I tried the vet wrap "splint", but she just topples forward and ends up with her little feet behind her and can't quite right herself from that awkward position.
Since she's eating, drinking, and pretty mobile, should I just keep a close eye on her?
