I don't know what colour the sussex are as a freind got them for me and she dosn't know either.
yes I do have guineas in the bator, 4 that are in lockdown.

So, do you have 2 incubators going ... one on lockdown, and one incubating? I mean, do you have a staggered hatch going, too?

yes I have a staggered hatch but I only have one incubator so I am being REALLY carefull.

Well, I hope it works well, and you have a great hatch! What dates are the others due on?

um, I think they are due 22nd, 23rd, 24th then a break for christmas then on the 26th then the 29th and then on the 9th.

How do you do that, with them all in the same incubator? I mean, how do you increase the humidity for the hatch, but not for the incubating ones?

well I have the hatching ones in a container that nearly touches the top of the incubator ( about 2 inches off ) and I have a sponge in the container. It would get a bit high for the others but not too much.

Now that is very resourceful! You know the saying, "Necessity is the mother of invention!" Way to go! I hope it works!

ok, we now have 3 pips.

I had to open the bator to turn the other eggs and found the 2 new pips and I also quickly touched the other eggs and felt 4 of them moving 3 of them the ones the had piped through the air sack lastnight.
They are not that talkative though.
