    can't say what sex but appears to be a blue something or other. Not dark enough to be black.

    Hope it's a pullet though

    Blue coloration, single comb, no feathers on the shanks . . . Andalusian is quite possible, although I wonder a little about the faint darker striping on the back and head. Then again, I am finding some photos of Andy chicks that show that kind of striping. You probably have a blue Andalusian, and that faint striping may even indicate that it will develop the dark laced pattern on the feathers that is so desirable. I still have some of my McMurray blue Andy stock: I got a superb rooster from that batch, and his sons and grandsons have been my flock's boss roos for several years. Not show quality, but very handsome, great with the hens, and excellent temperaments. May this little bird, roo or pullet, do you proud! [​IMG]
