I was worried b/c some posts of photos that look just like mine are saying its a rooster...

about what age does a "roo" start crowing ? As of right now.. they all (we have 3 chicks, all different breeds) sound the same

some as early as 6 weeks others can take a up to a year and i have also heard that some have a rooster that has never crowed but that is rare...i think its around 5-6 months for most

I agree with hdowden, really its any age. I currently have 24 chicks all almost 12 weeks old. So far 1 learned to crow pretty good but only does it occasionaly. This morning I finally heard my 2nd trying but it sounded more like a lamb baaaaing lol.
