I just bought some chicks and a roster. The chicks are supposed to be all females and less than a week old. The roster is supposed to be around a month old. Can anybody tell me what breed they are? The black ones with brown on her wing tips has white on the top of her head and stomach. You can see more of the white in the second picture with the roster. This is the first time we have chickens. My children started 4-h and they wanted chickens for their projects.

the first bird looks like a production Red. It's basically a generic red hatchery stock bird, often sold by hatcheries as Rhode Island Reds.
The second bird is a little barred Rock cockerel.
The third bird is likely a barred Rock also.
Fourth bird...possibly a black sex link. If so, definitely a pullet.
fifth bird..most likely guess is a buff Orpington.
