PLEASE HELP ME

    Hi I'm incubating jap quail eggs and I'm on my 18th day incubating and yes they are in lockdown but Im worried they won't hatch I have my temp set on 37.6 degrees and I don't know my humidity so stressing out sorry for being a bug

    We all worry during hatching, so join the club :) . hope everything goes well for your hatch.

    Thanks I think one has started to pip but I'm not sure I can see a little bit of shell that's come off

    It piped at the wrong end of the egg [​IMG] so stressed

    Just remember, you risk the rest of your hatch if you open the incubator. Hopefully the rest are progressing well.

    Just keep an eye on it. A majority of malepositioned chicks/birds make it out all on their own it just takes twice as long because they are skipping the pipping into the air cell step. As long as the membrane looks good and there is life and action it's better to wait. If you haven't read the assisted hatching thread I would do that just in case. There's a good section there on malepositioned chicks.
