please HELP...nest box issue

so...i have 2 pullets laying in the nest boxes and 2 others laying on the second floor of the coop. it is hard to reach and i never know when they go up there.

i have put burlap over the boxes for more privacy. also i took away all the shaving from the second floor where they were laying and i had cracked eggs!!! they will not get it.

what can i do???

You can try putting a golf ball in the nest box or you can add another nest box. I tried both but I still find eggs in the yard, run, middle of the floor. lol

You can try and block that area off for a few days, put some fake eggs or golfballs in the other nestbox(es) and add a nestbox if yo think hat you have is not enough....

oh i have had golf balls and fake eggs in the boxes. i have 1 small box that 2 lay in and one larger box that no one uses. so, i put a divider in the bigger box hoping someone would use it...nope - no one!!!
