Seeking your wisdom friends- most of our small flock is showing feather loss / baldness on their shoulders. The white ones show yellowing.
It's discoloring the blue on the neck of our India Blue Male - black/dark - with some feather loss.

Mites? Do I try a topical ivermectin?

Thanks in advance for any guidance

Christopher

The first thing I would do is to apply 0.40 ml of Ivermec pour on for cattle divided up between the shoulders, under the base of the tail, and a small drop behind the crest all given on the skin. That should take care of the lice but should be reapplied in ten days.

As for the yellowing; I know that corn will taint a white bird yellow but is not what is happening on your bird. It could be possibly the residue from a heavy load of lice. That bird needs to be caught and inspected closely and close up pictures taken.
