I was thinking she was molting but she's almost bald on top of her head. There's no feathers in her night time home. I bring both of them in my home at night now.Could it be seasonal molt?
I can only imagine what my sweet girl went thru the night the coon got her mate. Must've been horrifying for her! Will this stop or just continue to the point she will need a special sweater?I would guess just from stress.
She is eating! Assortment of melons and her normal dry duck kibble. Her poops are kinda solid it changes from day to day sometimes....I'm no expert but if she's eating, pooping and acting normal I wouldn't panic. The experts will chime in shortly.
Definitely molting. It’s similar to dogs shedding their winter coats. She will have new beautiful feathers soon.
