Hey guys! I seriously need your help. I've gotten these chickens several weeks ago, and I want to keep track of them. I can't do that because I don't even know what kind of breed they are. I really appreciate your help guys!!![IMG]

It looks to me like you have a pair of Black Copper Marans (rooster in Pic #2, hen in Pic #6). You also have two Easter Egger hens (Pic #3 - beard a little plucked, and Pic #4) and a Black Australorp hen (Pic #5). As for the rooster in the first picture, he may be a cross...do you have a closer picture of his comb? If he has leg feathering, he could be a Marans mix. And does the hen in Pic #5 have any leg feathering (even sparse) or any brown/colours other than black feathers?

    So in summary:
    2 BCM
    2 EE
    1 BA
    1 mix (?)

#2 doesn't actually live in that minuscule tomato cage all the time, does he??

oh goodness no... it appears so, but it's just some kind of punishment for sleeping in a nesting box last night

Then it is not a Black Australorp, but probably an over-melanized (too dark) Black Copper Marans hen.

    I agree.

Or, she could be an Australorp mix.
