I am thinking about getting parakeets but how do you tell if they are male or female... I might try and breed them... and what are they like???

ive caught 3 or 4 in my trees,, then i give them away ,,lol, so i cant help,,, i know have a lilac crowned amazon i got from my tree a few days ago,,, imma keeping her/him

see them in the tree,, then spray em with water,, walk over and grab em lol ,,, wet birds dont fly
