Hi guys. I just set 10 polish eggs tonight. I've seen pictures of the breed and I just love the look of them. So I am pretty excited and would love to see pictures of what I have to look forward too!

The roo was a ...I think its called a white crested black and I can't remember what color she said the hens were.

    Thanks everyone.

I don't have any white crested black but here are some of my Polish:

I don't know why I haven't gotten pictures of the blue and silver laced. I need to try to get some taken.

Personally, I don't like them. They are so flighty. I think because they can't see with the crest in their way. I need to do some haircuts!

    [IMG] Not like Polish! lol.
I don't find mine to be flighty at all. Some are a bit stand offish but my buff laced Polish are very curious(which is why I can't get a decent picture of them) and are right up under my feet when I am in the pen.

Quote:Really? I have heard that alot, but mine are all VERY friendly.

I have also held them and touched them since day 1, and I think that makes a difference...

I love my WCB Polish hens. I am down to only 2 at the present moment but plan on getting more in the spring. The 2 in the picture above were my first pair. So far I have only had 1 mean roo all the rest of my Polish have been very friendly and enjoyed being handled. I think it helps that I have 2 kids who absolutely love spending time hanging out with them!
