I’ve posted a lot in this forum because I’ve been winding up with a bunch of cockerels with this batch of chicks. I *thought* this one was safely a pullet until a few days ago when the beginnings of a pink comb started emerging. Please tell me this is okay. Born on Labor Day. It’s the brown one in the photo. Sorry it’s basically three versions of the same one. I can’t remember the breed at the moment. Thank you!

Some hens have combs. I am no help sexing chickens, but if you know the breed, look up online pictures of the hens and roos and see the difference in the combs. You can also type the breed and age in a search bar on google and it shows you all related posts on this site.

I believe it's a pullet. But answer a couple questions if you can.

At around three weeks, was the comb yellowish? At around four weeks, was the comb a yellow orange? Cockerels combs appear quite yellowish, then an orange tint before turning from yellow-orange to red at around six weeks.

That comb isn't really red. It's a typical pale pink and should remain pale pink until point of lay.

I tried looking back at the 3737739283748 chicken photos on my camera roll but can’t find any of this one’s comb at around 4 weeks. However it seems it had a nonexistent comb until this last week. I’m ultra paranoid because of the 10 chicks I got, 7 have turned out to be cockerels. Thanks for all the feedback!
