I already have 3 Roos. I love them all, one is mean. But I think my 2 originals are throwing a lot of male genes into eggs. I think I know which, but I don't want to admit it. Regardless Im keeping thins one M/F so others will have to move.I had to take a second look, then a third.
If I had the space I'd keep extra males. Sometimes it takes awhile to figure out which ones will be jerks, it'd be nice to have a few extra just incase.
I culled one for aggressive behavior, then the second became aggressive and I think he might be infertile to boot.![]()
It's the hens that determine the sex of the offspring. Unlike people, bird sex chromosomes are ZW (females) and ZZ (males).
