my dog got loose and chased one of my hens. he plucked some feathers from her back (yeah, not too thrilled with the dog...). What do I need to do to take care of it? I just got my hens, and now the dog is kept far, far away. Will the feathers that were lost grow back? She's also at the bottom of the pecking order, so I don't want her getting picked on even more.

They will grow back. They actually grow very fast. You could separate her until they grow back if you want, but that wouldn't help her pecking order problem.
